Every month, UX/UI design evolves: new tools emerge that change familiar processes, automate routine tasks, and simplify interface creation. Autumn was no exception, and over the past few weeks, there have been releases that surprised even those who regularly follow new industry solutions.

In this review, I have compiled the most interesting UX/UI tools worth your attention.

1. Affinity Studio by Canva

Affinity has long been a strong competitor to Adobe, but now Canva has not only integrated it but also made it completely free.

Previously, Affinity consisted of three separate applications. Now it is a single package that includes:

  • Vector — an alternative to Adobe Illustrator.
  • Pixel — an analogue of Photoshop.
  • Layout — something like InDesign: ideal for presentations, posters, and graphic projects.

Interestingly, a Customise mode has been added. It allows you to “build” your own workspace. In fact, anyone can create a personalised tool for specific tasks.

And yes, Canva has added its AI capabilities to Affinity.

When Canva combined its Affinity Photo, Designer, and Publisher applications into a single free programme called Affinity Studio, a strong competitor to Adobe Creative Cloud emerged. It is not surprising that many are already cancelling their Adobe subscriptions…

2. Figma Weave

Figma has acquired a Tel Aviv-based start-up that generates images and videos using AI.

Figma will now offer the ability to:

  • link parameters and interface elements via nodes,
  • train AI on its own references,
  • generate graphics and UI elements on demand,
  • create iterations in a “live” way, rather than random selections from the network.

This is similar to how Blender Compositor or Houdini works, but with a focus on UI.

In fact, we will get an editor that learns as it works.

3. MockU — bright mockup scenes and videos

AI services often turn out to be marketing hype, but Mocku is a real, practical solution if you want to get high-quality results.

Functionality:

  • generation of realistic mockup scenes (e.g., a laptop in an old loft or an iPad on a lake),
  • creation of video mockups with changing perspective and lighting,
  • Magic Background and Magic Post tools for automatic design of social media posts,
  • works directly in the browser, no download or installation required.

MockU allows you to quickly create project presentations that look professional and trendy.

4. Motion Edu — learning animation through interaction

For those who love interface animation, it’s worth checking out capabilities Motion.zajno.

This is not a traditional course. It is a website that teaches motion principles through interactive examples built into the page itself.

As you scroll through the site, you literally learn animation by “feeling it with your hands.”

Everything is clear, visual, and free of jargon.

5. Moonchild.ai — Next-level AI UI design generator

Moonchild allows you to upload a text description of your project or a PDF, after which the system:

  • analyses the requirements,
  • creates UI layouts,
  • offers 3 variations of each screen,
  • generates adaptive versions,
  • and immediately provides ready-to-use code for transfer to the developer.

The result is not static JPGs. The components are interactive, meaning buttons, hovers, and switches work.

The designer only has to correct and guide the AI, rather than creating everything from scratch.

6. BentoGenerator — creating “bento grids”

The bento block style has become standard in web and UI design. Bento Generator makes the customisation process as simple as possible:

  • drag and drop blocks,
  • adjust radii, fills, gradients,
  • save as PNG/JPEG or export a JSON structure for importing into a website.

It feels like a mini Figma right in your browser.

7. Tight Studio — creating UI demo videos

Tight Studio helps you quickly create dynamic presentation videos where the camera and cursor automatically follow your actions.

Suitable for:

  • presenting projects to clients,
  • video portfolios,
  • training materials.

You can add cursors, masks, text, and music to videos without complicated editing.

8. Opal by Google — mini-app builder

Opal lets you create simple text-based apps in minutes without code. It’s ideal for designers looking to automate microtasks.

Opal [Experiment]

What Opal can do:

  • Create workflows. The user can describe a sequence of actions, after which the system generates a visual scenario using AI queries, model calls, and other components.
  • Edit applications. Changes can be made using natural language or a visual editor. Modifying prompts, adding functions, and connecting external tools are supported.
  • Share applications. The created application can be shared via a link. It can be launched through the user’s Google account.

Write about which tools you have already tested or implemented in your work processes. Now is the perfect time to try something new, as the industry is changing right before our eyes.
